Welcome!

The Interprofessional Education and Resource Center (IERC) and Academic Health Center (AHC) Simulation Center provide exemplary simulation development, programming, and research in order to build bridges between disciplines and transform health sciences education and practice.  We collaborate with faculty across the AHC as well as with regional health sciences professionals to develop a diverse range of customized simulations grounded in evidence-based practice.

We encourage you to...

Learn about the scope of simulation and enhance your knowledge about this innovative and engaging educational modality and its relevance for the educational challenges you face.

Discover the different resources available in our Centers for developing simulations.  In addition to simulating healthcare environments and capturing the audio/video and data from the simulations in our facilities, we can enrich your simulation with the use of standardized patients or patient educators, full-body simulators, procedural simulators, and table-top models.

Explore simulation projects we have developed with our clients in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and opportunities that extend the use of this modality beyond health sciences.

Inquire about opportunities to use simulations to meet your teaching and assessment needs and competency requirements.  Our staff is available to answer your questions, provide tours of the facilities and demonstrate our simulators and equipment, as well as discuss possibilities for transforming your teaching and assessment practices.  We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you.
